Take a trip more than seven thousand years back in human history. Visit Ban Chiang, some 100 kilometers from EIDI Homestay. Learn about Thailand's cultural heritage, since Ban Chiang is one of the most important pre-historical discovery sites in Southeast Asia.

Artefacts between 4.000 and 7.500 years of age are being displayed in the museum, covering tools, potter's clay jars and other utensils that have been excavated. In 1966, the American student Stephen Young discovered clay fragments on a walk and suspected their potential archaeological value. With a long period of preparations, large excavations then started in 1974–75.

Recognized as UNESCO world cultural heritage in 1992, the archaeological site of Ban Chiang can be visited at the site of 'Wat Po Si Nai' temple.
